arashi143Sakaguchi Kentaro woke up early in the morning today to accept media interviews.
26 year old Japanese [shiogao danshi*] Sakaguchi Kentaro went to Taiwan yesterday (May 6th) for to promote his new movie Konya, Romance Gekijo de. Yesterday after finishing 3 Miramar Cinemas fan gatherings, changed course to Shin Yeh Restaurant for Taiwanese food. Only deep in the night at 11:30pm was he able to return to the hotel to rest. First thing in the morning today (May 7th) he again accepted marathon style media interviews, pure professional dedication.
With his tall stature and model status he entered showbiz. Asked about how his debut background resemble senior actors Hiroshi Abe and Takao Osawa, he answered: "Until now I hadn't had a chance to meet them, they are veteran seniors compared to me. Also there are a lot of aspects worth learning, and I hope I can find my own style I belong to during performances."
Owing to his role in the movie Konya, Romance Gekijo de playing an assistant director, he was asked if in the future there is a possibility to act and be promoted to work as an excellent director, he then said:"I really like movies and I also like acting different roles. I experience being different people for myself. Recently I am able to work hard as a performer to accomplish my goals from here on. If in the future there is a chance, perhaps I will consider directing."
In the movie Konya, Romance Gekijo de, he is declaring pure love and attachment with Ayase Haruka, who is 7 years older than him. Referring to his thoughts about romance between older women and younger men, he says: "I have an older sister, other people also say I should fully experience loving dearly. I feel that older women have more strength to show tolerance, regarding dating a girlfriend who is older, I do not reject the idea."
*Shiogao danshi - literally salty faced man. Described as having a light subtle face, sharp narrow eyes, fair white skin, and a beautiful face line. They may also have a weak image but masculine arms or hands, a prominent adam’s apple and collarbones, messy hair, and would look good in a v-neck sweater or cardigan and glasses. In general, these guys have light features. Apparently Sakaguchi's slim, tall structure and chiseled face fits the bill.
