arashi143Yesterday Kimura Takuya (back row left), Miyake Ken (back row center), and Ikuta Toma (back row right) went to Kure city in Hiroshima prefecture for disaster relief, group picture with disaster victims.
August 5th: Early last month torrential rains in western Japan caused disaster and serious damage, till now some areas remain with water supply not yet recovered. Yesterday 45 year old Johnny's king Kimura Takuya and his juniors Miyake Ken and Ikuta Toma especially went to gravely damaged Kure city in Hiroshima prefecture for disaster relief, not only bringing goods essential for survival, also cooking curry rice and beef steak at the site, practicing what they preach giving disaster victims a boost of morale.
Yesterday Kimura and others wore a black T-shirt and cap with [Smile Up! Project] written on them, going to the location's elementary school disaster area evacuation shelter, once the 3 appeared, immediately the crowd of victims were pleasantly surprised, it did not only attract a large crowd of onlookers, with regards to photos, shaking hands and other requests were all cordially answered, plenty of children generously praised them as "extremely handsome", while a lot of victims who were able to take pictures and uploaded them to Twitter and IG successively conveyed their thanks, addressing the 3 as warmhearted real men.
Popular Johnny's group Arashi members Matsumoto Jun and Ninomiya Kazunari already successively visited Hiroshima, Ehime and Okayama prefectures in the middle of last month, donating 50,000,000 JPY (equivalent to 14,000,000 NTD) to each for disaster relief. Since 2011 the group has been active in disaster relief, in the past 7 years donations already total up to 2,000,000,000 JPY (equivalent to (560,000,000 NTD). Johnny's express that from now on, idols under the banner would remain to continue participating in disaster relief and other community charity activities, hoping the actual operation victims use up a part of their efforts.
